How would the probe returns inspire design?

The attempt was to look for seemingly insignificant statements or images or may be find an idosyncratic detail and exxagerate it. These small details could be points of interest which could even turn into an obsession, preference to love, dislike or terror. This could then lead to design of devices and systems to serve as props for new stories.
